ARP head studs neboli štefty hlavy válců jsou vyrobeny z prémiových slitin 8740 (pevnost v tahu cca 190 000 psi) nebo ARP2000® (pevnost v tahu cca 220 000 psi). Po tepelné úpravě jsou čepy bezhrotově broušené pro maximální souosost a následně mají závity válcované po kalení, což zajišťuje až 20× vyšší únavovou pevnost oproti běžným výrobním postupům.

Díky extrémní přesnosti výroby umožňují dokonalé usazení těsnění hlavy válců a poskytují velmi rovnoměrnou upínací sílu. U vybraných motorů nabízí ARP také undercut verze, které zajišťují rovnoměrné prodloužení čepů a maximální těsnost u vysoce zatížených aplikací.
